- Forgiveness -Holistic MedicineBefore Jesus died He spoke about forgiveness and how to receive it under the law. The law requires that you obey it in order for you to receive. Under the law, in this case, you have to pardon others that you may be pardoned. This principle can be illustrated as a two sided coin. On one side of the coin, is pardon for your sins. On the other side of the coin is your willingness to pardon others. Both are connected like two sides of a coin. Your forgiveness was conditional to your fulfilling the law of forgiving others. The law is holy and just and good but how to fulfill it is another question. The hurts some have suffered can be so great that they just can't do it. Some have tried to forgive but in their heart they swore they would never forget, revealing the root of bitterness as still being there. Others make up their mind through clinched teeth to forgive but even through all human effort that will not release you from the hurt still inside. Your wounded soul can be effecting you in ways you don't even know. When others hurt you they sin against you. Sin causes wounds inside your soul. Those wounds provide an opening for hate, bitterness, hurts, guilt and more to invaded your body that can manifest as sickness and disease. Some can even die from them. You can't have complete Spiritual wellness, physical wellness or emotional wellness without forgiveness. It effects you as “I can't it's to hard!", I can hear someone crying these words. Yes, You may have suffered hurt so deeply that even though you know you should, you still can't forgive. Works of the Spirit can not be done in your own strength. There is only one answer, you must take it to God, give Him the whole problem. You can even ask Him to make you willing to forgive. Like Paul said in the Bible we do not know how to perform that which is good. It's just not in us. And we need God to work it in us. Our part is to give God permission by our willingness for Him to change us. He'll take it from there. He is the expert and brings you spiritual, physical and emotional wellness. Your victory is in the decision you make in the name of Jesus to want to do His will. Your will is then lined up with His will and that sets the stage for miracles to begin to happen. You harm yourself through the sin of being unforgiving. Don't let sin reign in you. Go to God and by His grace He saves us from sin. There is mounting evidence that with out forgiveness you become vulnerable to all sorts of sickness problems. Serious health issues are at stake. Anger has power to Control you. Go to Jesus just as you are and He will accomplish in you what you can not do. It is for your sake, for your own Wellness. You can try all the conventional medicines the pharmaceuticals companies can provide. And try every old world and herbal alternative medicine there is. You can even try the latest new technologies and still not win the battle for your health and wellness. An unforgiving heart can prevent healing.
You must get to the root of the problem. You must, it's not an option. It is for you, for your sake. Your health and forgiveness are connected. Trust God that He knows what He's talking about. Vengeance is mine, says the Lord. I will repay. God knows that vengeance will destroy you if you try to carry it. God is just and under the law whatsoever you sow that you shall also reap. Whoever hurt you, their only hope is the same salvation that you received. If they don't repent and turn to Jesus there will be hell to pay literally. With out Jesus they will die for their own sins by fire in hell. For the wages of sin is death. Romans chapter six. If you find no strength within you to know How to forgive, turn to the only one who truly knows how you feel. Turn to the one who has been there with you through it all even if you didn't know He was there. He was feeling every pain you felt. He is the only one who really knows what you went through. The feelings you have, the hurt or anger may very well be justified but they are causing YOU pain- they are wounds in your soul. Good news! Jesus made a way for us to be completely forgiven for every sin we have ever committed and will ever commit. Without Jesus we are a lost people. We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God. You and I have failed to keep the law. If you break one commandment you have broken them all. Death is the penalty, it is the fine for not keeping the law. That is the price that must be paid. Understand there are no negotiation's. No good deed or being a "good" person is enough to pardon you. God's Justice must be upheld. The shedding of blood is the price that must be payed for every sin. But God is not willing that you should parish so He sent Grace His only begotten Son to pay your fine with His Blood. Picture yourself in a prison, guilty as charged and awaiting the death penalty. You are doomed to die. But hold everything, Jesus walks into the prison, He takes your place and sets you free. Jesus stayed and died in your place. You are free to go. No strings attached. Jesus died for the sins of the whole world in this way. Can you imagine a president of a country doing that for some prisoner on death row? Well that is what your King did for you. What kind of Love is THAT? It's hard to even begin to understand that kind of love. You have a choice, you can continue to condemn yourself knowing you really are guilty or you can accept what Jesus did for you as a free gift applying it to yourself personally. Now there is no more condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. As you meditate on what it took for God to be able to offer you total redemption, AS YOU SIT IN HIS GLORY LIGHT you become healed from the hurts you have suffered from others. Allow God to envelope you and hold you close. Seek His presence and rest in His finished work. Focus your attention on Him alone. It is then that you begin to see things differently and your mind will begin to change. You will begin to see yourself and others through the eyes of Jesus. Your mind supernaturally changes direction about forgiving others. That's called repentance. To turn around, to change direction is what repentance means. Meditate on the goodness of God for IT IS the GOODNESS of God that brings repentance. THEN you will be able to forgive others. THROUGH Christ you can do all things. Jesus left the glory of His throne in heaven, was born of a woman on earth. He lived that perfect sinless life that we failed to do. Justice had to be paid but instead of making you pay for your own sins, He chose to die for you to make you free. This is God's plan of salvation. Blind eyes can be opened to receive Jesus as Savior and Lord. (Lord means owner like a landlord) Jesus is your Lord and Master as you willingly run to give yourself to the King of Glory. When you give yourself to Him you become a child of God and are born again. You can give yourselves to Him as He gave Himself for you. There is an exchange that takes place. He takes your place on the cross becoming sin for you. He lays on your shoulders His rob of righteousness and gives you the gift of eternal life! You become a citizen of the kingdom of God with all of the benefits and rights that citizens enjoy including eternal life. All this is freely given to you. You gladly surrender your citizenship to this evil world system and embrace the kingdom of God as a citizen of an eternal Kingdom. You are now in the world but you are not of the world. The mercy of God is extended toward you. Now GRACE says you ARE forgive. You put Faith in God and believe Him. "Believe only" is our part. Then the Holy Spirit does His perfect work in you resulting in you forgiving others as you have been forgiven. It is God doing the WORK not you. You just go to Him and rest in His finished work. He has begun a work in you and it is HE who will finish it. It's a miracle when you find yourself feeling sorry for the one who has hurt you so through their sin. It's a miracle to find true forgiveness and peace that can come only through the work of the Holy Spirit Himself. It's a miracle when you are able to cancel the debt others owe you by their sin just like God canceled your sin through Jesus. Jesus is the only one who can actually heal those wounds that are inside of you.
